Dredd Pepakura Making Part 1

I discovered everybody was making there Helmets (Dredd, Iron Man, Magneto etc.) from a paper art form referred to as Pepakura. I'm quite heavy handed and initially didn't think this was for me, but after last night I found to get on really well with it.

Unfortunately I got to involved in another project and this went on the back shelf. I hope to return to it one day.

The Jack Gun Making: Part 3

First I wanted a belt/strap to surport the whisky...

...i aged the belt and burnt it in areas to add detail...

...The finished product before adding to gun.

Here you can see that the gun has been mounted and the strap is in place.
Like the Satanic Pistol i added a metal cable that enters into the gun.

Front left side. You can see other small details in this photo.

Rear left shot.

The Satanic Pistol Making: Part 3

First i mounted my dial and steam exhausts. I then added the extra support to keep it in place. I then added a metal cable into one of the exhausts...

I pushed this cable into position, flush with the gun.

I melted a hole into the gun where the wire can enter.

Here you see the cable into the gun.

Front left side. Please note the light bulb i added towards the rear.

Front right side, to be continued...

The Jack Gun Making: Part 2

This was the paint job once dried...

...and the gun was reassembled. I like the two different base colours.

In the next photos i added the scrape marks and painted silver in the dents...

...I think the paint job turned out even better than the Satanic paint job.

The Satanic Pistol Making: Part 2

The gun reassembled after the paint had dryed

Next paint job was to paint the grip. I had always had a dark red in mind from the beginning.

Next i added the worn/used look to the gun as well as painting silver in the dents i had created.

The Jack Gun Making: Part 1

The 2nd gun I'm making using the Nerf barrel break...

The Barrel Break fresh out of its box, purchased on Ebay.

(Forgot to take photos after the sanding, 1000 apologies)

I decided to do two base colours on this gun, this is the black...

...and this is the gold.

(I also forgot to take photos of the parts after paint before assembly.)

The Satanic Pistol Making: Part 1

So this is my progress so far on my first ever Steampunk gun...

This is the Nerf Maverick how it appears out of the box. Purchased from Toys R Us

This photo shows the gun after a sanding and small dents and scrapes carved in.

I take the gun apart to sand areas i couldn't reach and to prepare the gun for spray. I was amazed at the simple design the Nerf gun uses to fire these darts... Very clever!

Here the gun is all separated out ready for spray. I have decided to do the one colour for my first gun.

The gun after being sprayed up. Next step is to reassemble the gun.

The Jack Gun

Nickname: The Jack Gun
Original Name: Nerf Barrel Break
Gun Number: 002

I knew from the start I wanted an old bottle of Jack Daniels to be a featured on one of my guns. The idea being that maybe the whisky acts as an alternative co2 boost to the guns steam power. When I first saw the Nerf Barrel break I knew this was the gun to feature my whisky idea.
