Back in 2002 age 16 I went to college and instead of doing my course work, I started to mess around in MS Paint. Eventually I started to draw a race involving hovering futuristic style cars of which I saved the file Future Car.
Future Car 1 had very little detail and was very plain, but I continued to create more. Spending hour after hour daily clicking the mouse I improved my Pixel art skills dramatically. By the end of 2003 I had drawn 10 Future Car pictures which clearly showed the progress I had made in that 2 year period.
Unfortunately over the years I have lost all 10 original Pixel art pictures. However I still have 4 printouts of the original work that I have scanned in to the computer to display on my blog. It's been so long that I cant remember what the other Future Car Pictures looked like, only that one was set in the dark, another in the rain and Future Car 7 was set in Paris, France.
I'm well aware that these pictures do not show a great deal of talent like the pictures I create now, but this is proof that you can self develop and improve your self with time and effort.
I revisited this project in 2012, 10 years after my original pictures. You can clearly see a difference in the quality of my Pixel art in 10 years.
